2018 Ranger XP 1000

What’s so special about the 2018 Ranger XP 1000? Why are we hearing so much about it? It’s simple: there are over 100 improvements to this model!

This makes it the most capable and rugged utility side-by-side to date. Polaris has been impressing for the past few years with the many innovations they’ve been putting out and the Ranger is not excluded.

Hunters, farmers, landowners and hobbyists will be pleased with this utility side-by-side!

As mentioned above, the new 82 HP ProStar® 1000 engine offers unprecedented power, not to mention a new clutch and improved transmission. Low-speed maneuverability is increased (by a lot!), so getting the job done will be easier.

For recreational riders on rough roads, the new suspension travel will provide even smoother rides. Even at medium to high speeds, you’ll be in control with the new 27-inch tires.

If we just look at the exterior look of the 2018 Ranger XP 1000, we immediately notice its more aggressive look reminiscent of full-size pickup trucks, and we have to say we particularly like it. It’s about time a utility side-by-side had a design that was a little more inviting and sporty than what we’re used to seeing in the industry.

The new full skid plate under the vehicle is also one of the most anticipated features. If there’s one thing that recreational off-roaders don’t like to do, it’s to constantly watch where they put their “feet” so as not to break a part. Well, now that’s a thing of the past! We want more holes, rocks, hills, streams and trails!

The base price for this Ranger (MSRP) is set at $18,699. The EPS version, which includes electronic power steering, is priced at $20,399 and finally, the Northstar edition, which also offers an exclusive heating and air conditioning system, is $29,999. This last version also includes a Pro-Fit Lock and Ride Premium cabin and a fixed glass windshield with wiper. These are the prices we expected given the many improvements, but you should know that it is still possible to upgrade to financing at Thibault Marine in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
